Luck, however, combined with his innate talent for him to win it. Jepsen was playing $50/$100 heads-up No-Limit Hold'em against a player called sidepot, and raised to $350 from the button. sidepot re-raised to $1,500, and Jepsen called. The flop came 8h-7d-5s. sidepot bet $1,777 and Jepsen called once again. The Jc on the turn proved to be the action card. sidepot bet $5,000, only to see Jepsen, who had his opponent covered, move all-in for $18,622. sidepot made the call. Another jack came on the river. sidepot showed pocket aces, but was beaten by Jepsen who sat with pocket jacks, and had caught a runner-runner four-of-a-kind. The Dane took home the $37,277 pot.
